The Continental belongs to the Tom Torrens ‘Signature Design Series’.
The Continental features an impressive 16 inch diameter globe displaying approximately 7,700 place names, beautiful antique colored oceans, raised relief surface features, and renders its accurately detailed cartography in vivid colors, enabling the user to more easily distinguish political boundaries. The beautiful globe is encircled in a detailed full ring meridian mount.
The Continental’s simple elegance elicits memories of art nouveau sculpture. This globe and stand are equally at home with country French or eclectic American interiors. The gently sloping, warm-colored iron sculpture is evocative of the Eiffel Tower. This combination summons memories of time spent in Paris.
