The Galleon gemstone globe is an exquisite piece of art! Featuring a 3” globe, it is studded with semi-precious gemstones, each beautifully representing an individual continent. Obtained from locations from around the world, every jewelry grade gemstone is meticulously hand cut and fitted to mirror the adjoining oceans and continents. As possible, the gemstones are rendered to reflect the individual continent to which they are indigenous. The breathtaking oceans are crafted from a mixture of crushed and colored stone, Mother of Pearl, Abalone shells, and bonding resin. The oceans are rendered in a single seamless expanse, that wraps completely around the continent stones. Polished to a high gloss finish, the oceans appear to be cut from a single stone. The globe is adorned with delicate latitude and longitude lines that are Antique Silver, plated onto a durable brass ribbon core.
